Default X300 3.2 missfire problems

Hello dear jag users,

My first post on the form, and unfortunately it's about a problems I have with my Jaguar x300 3.2 1995 M reg.

The car starts normally, idles normally as well according to me. Unfortunately when I press the accelerator it feels like there is a misfire and the car doesn't seem to want to pull away. The problem only happens when I press the accelerator gently, when I press it more firmly all seems to be fine and the car pulls away without a problem.

I have recently replaced the plugs and air filter.

Your help is much appreciated

Regards
Darkxs

I've changed all the coil plugs today and cleaned the throttle body and the air flow metter hope that this will work.

Default Still some problems

Well I've changed the coils and plugs. Cleaned the throttle body and air flow meter, but still not all's perfect.

The problems is that when driving steady say 70 on the M-way it feels like the engine is very jumpy, like there's a misfire or it's gasping for fuel.
But when you press the accelerator all seems to go away.
Could it be the injectors ? Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you
Darkxs

fuel filter perhaps?

When I had my 1995 XJR it gave me similar issues, and after I changed the fuel filter, it would chirp tires in every gear and made her feel young again.

readily available at most parts stores.

costs something around ten dollars.

Also, it's a long shot, but check for blockage in the exhaust system.
could be causing performance issues.
