X300 radio works but when switched to cd error code ee1 appears on radio display.Is there a seperate code for the cd.Just fitted a new battery so radio etc was disconnected.

 

Maybe this will help: eject the magazine from the cd changer, clean the cd's with a soft towel and slide the magazine into place.

 

Hi,thanks for the reply.Part of the problem is i can,t eject the magazine from the changer or more to the point the magazine refuses to move.Wondering whether it is a bad electrical connection?

No, I don't think that its a connection problem.
Most likely, one of the six drawers has got jammed.
Then you will need to remove the cd changer, open it carefully and disassemble half the changer. I've done this job before. One of your biggest problems will be a tiny little spring in the rear - don't worry about this spring, the changer will work even without this part. Btw: the connection plug is behind the trunk carpet (if the changer is fitted below the rear window = my <1997).
