I was a bit confused about the dana 44 parts fitting in to the x300 differential housing. The older stuff seems accept Dana 44 gear sets with kind of straightforward mods. X300 info seemed somewhat non existing but based on YouTube video seems like the x300 housing also can be used with Dana related components.

Yes the 15HU accepts almost all D44 parts. A 15HU rebuild kit is basically a D44 rebuild kit.

Stuffing a JK locker in there is a cool way to get the job done.

 

I watched the video again and actually asked some clarifications from the guy

the LSD is still the powr-lok from jaguar, ring and pinion are from Jeep, JK. This means that the input shaft spline count is different and the coupling between propshaft and the differential input needs to be changed at same time. Jaguar input shaft (and normal dana stuff also?) is 26 spline and the Jeep one is 24 spline.
