X300 disabling alarm system
Hi everyone,
the alarm system on my '95 x300 is going nuts.
Maybe a broken door sensor?
Anyway, how do I turn off the alarm system? I could not find anything about this topic in the handbooks.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Best regards,
Julian

This used to happen to me ALL THE TIME..I wake up at 12 PM hearing that alarm blaaarrring off. I have 2 key remotes..I was using one for a while and I lost it, so i started to use my backup. Everytime I locked it with my backup the car alarm would go off 5-30mins later..Really annoying. When I found my original I used that again and the alarm stopped going off random times. It was good knowing it worked but really annoying hearing it lol.
In the UK the alarm activates a separate sounder. I don't know if this is the case in the rest of the world. The alarm is part of the Security and Locking Control Module (SLCM) which is located in the trunk near the fuel filler and cannot be simply disabled. Furthermore this module must be configured to the car if it is replaced using suitable dealer level diagnostic equipment. The simplest method is to remove the plug at the alarm sounder which on UK models is located underneath the plastic cover at the screenwash filler neck. The alarm will still activate but you obviously won't hear it.
Hi. I have a 1995 x300. My alarm doesn't sound however the indicator lights continually flash and the headlights are on. The only way to turn them off is to disconnect the battery.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to the problem ?
