How similar is the x300 engine bay to the one in the 6-cylinder xjs when it comes to engine mounts and engine mount locations? I have the opportunity of a free 95 xj6 with a blown engine and I always have wanted to do a 2jz swap into x300. I know its been done before on a xjs but I was wondering how much similarity there was between the xjs/x300 in order to understand how much custom fabrication I would need to do.

 

The AJ16 engine is bigger than the 2JZ so I don't think space will be a problem
