Default X300 key fob DBC11512

Anyone have a functional key fob or two #DBC11512 for a 1995 X300 you'd like to unload?

And if you still have a few when you've sorted Rhett out, then can I have them?

Please..............

When you are trying to source fobs, remember US and UK have different frequencies and they aren't compatible.

Thanks for that. Should have said that I only want the case and buttons, I will then put my internals in as it's the fob itself that is awful, the electronics are fine. Managed to pick one up off eBay for 20 quid,

I'm new to this forum. In fact new to all forums. I'd be interested to know how to move the internals to a new case. I've just done the same and bought a case off eBay: internals are fine on the old one. For a UK x300.

That's good to know. Thank you.

Anyone know what the U.S. frequencies are?

USA Frequencies:

1995: 315 Mhz
1996 and up: 433 Mhz

I don't know if the change was made exactly at the model year change, so if your car is near vin 754304 then be careful!

I got my hands on a 315 MHz fob, used the programming instructions on the X300 How To section of this site and I now have keyless entry/locking. Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the update, Rhett. Nice to have keyless access, right?

Looks like interesting reading on your blogspot! I'll be viewing. Four garage door controls = ostentatious, no doubt!

Hey, thanks for the kind word!

And yes, keyless entry on my everyday driver is a big deal. Thanks again.

Welcome to the forum leflambeur,

And apologies for missing your first post here in this thread. I'll assume after the delay in replying to it you've already worked out how to change the case!

When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Just to clarify a bit the frequencies on the USA cars are the same as all the others. That is, there are only two possible choices (315 and 433) no matter what market your Jag was originally built for.

If you have an original transmitter/fob it'll have the part number and frequency stamped on the case. If not, someone here posted the bulletin describing how to tell what frequency your car needs by looking at the configuration of the antenna on the back glass

Cheers

Post #4 here has the bulletin info on 315 vs 433 frequency change, just in case some one needs to know in the future
