Just as the subject asks, im interested in a set of tasteful lowering springs for my 95 XJR but all i find are lowering springs for X308 XJRs. So my question being, can i buy a set of X308 lowering springs and have them work on a X300 XJR without modifications?

lowering springs will make your ride suffer and will not improve the handling of your vehicle. if you want your car to look sleek, put on set of 18 to 19 inch magwheels and a low profile tire to fix the appearance.
RE: X308 Lowering Springs on a X300 XJR?
Yes , sorry - just a little British humor there. The main goal is to stiffen up the ride a little. I do not actually want to lower the car that much. I have purchased xjr shocks and lowering springs from Mina Gallery. I was told by the technician there that there are spacers, that if left in, will keep some of the height on the ride. I am also looking to obtain uprated from and rear anti-roll bars (sway bars).

Too late now but I would've gone in reverse order-sway bars first, then springs if I wasn't satisfied. Sway bars alone make quite a difference, especially if coupled with good firm shocks. For a regular use car I think softer springs + big sway bars + good shocks = good compromise. Just my 2-cents.
Tires, of course, make a huge difference in the feel and steering response. Just watch out for tramlining problems when you get into to 50-45-40 series tires. The XJRs are a bit notorious for this....annoying at minimum and outright scary in some cases.
Cheers and good luck

When you're finished could you post a pic of the car please? I will most probably have to do this to the front end of mine, I have removed loads of weight from the car and the front sits up really high now to the point where it looks really stupid. I don't need to drop the back end but I couldn't do that anyway as I'm running 265 deep dish on the rear and I reckon that's the limit!
Ps it's good to see someone taking one of these cars and setting it up how they want it, I have done the same with mine and found that help and advice is very hard to come by. That coupled with close to no aftermarket for these cars makes any work like this not for the faint hearted. I could go on, but I personally find threads like this invaluable so do let us know how it all goes.

Well, the OP "BLKCAT13" hasn't logged into the forum since November, 2008, and "proivguru" hasn't been around since then either.
And "Cool" last logged in back in April, 2016

So I don't think you're likely to get any update from them on how it worked out

That being said, there some more current threads here and in the X308 forum where owners have fitted various springs.

Well I'll be honest now, this is the first time I'm using this forum and I accidentally replied to the wrong post, I was using the mobile version of the site which loads up related threads under the one you have open so it looks like one continuous thread. My bad, I'll get the hang of it.
