I'm currently in the process of collecting parts for my XJ6 project and I have the opportunity to get some really clean seats from an xj8. I know the front seats have airbags and that the rear seat belt design is different, but will they work at all in an x300?

 

Anyone? Bueller?

 

As you say the rear seat belt design is different. It's very different and cannot be fitted to the early X300s unless you are willing to fabricate mounting points etc. Very late X300s had a 3 point centre belt and I think that was the forerunner of the XJ8 design so may be compatible.

The front seat belts are also different but I think you can get away with swapping the stalks on the seats.

This is all from fading memory as it's about 5 years since I tackled some of these issues.
