XJ6 cd player

Did the base model xj6's in 96 come with a cd player? I am pretty sure i do not have one but havent given up hope yet. I even have a button that says tape/cd but i'm thinking it's for the tape player. did jaguar put them in any other places than the trunk?

Nope,however you should see a cable for that around the door hinges though . Base models didn't come with the CD Changer , you could have it at additional cost

wow I never knew that,
my XJ6 is base trim as far as I know, and it had the 6disc unit in the trunk but I removed it when I installed my aftermarket stereo.

I know you've got the wiring for it back there.
and the only place it would be is in the trunk.
