The electric smog pump and check valve are both located on your right side on the supercharged version , this is opposite side for the normally aspirated
The smog pump itself also has a electric check valve / solenoid inside
See page 93 of the 801s doc
notice the 2 smog pump lines going into the exhaust manifold above the donut gaskets

Checked a number of things today:
Injectors are the red ring ones
My VIN is after the carbon cutter exhaust valves became standard
The TPS has a smooth consistent resistance
Just looking at the throttle body some more, I get how the two links interacts now. Its not as broken as I first thought.
There was a small amount of oil(?!) in the red connector on the ECU. I don't think it was enough to get inside the case, but it was a bit wet.
Transmission Computer plug was dry.

If the red ECU connector outside was wet with a conductive fluid, it would interfere with what is going on inside the ECU
Under the windshield wiper trough that goes from one side to the other there is a sheet metal seam that can leak onto the ECU wires
The seam is near the right quarter panel
The screws that hold the trough down are plastic so soak with penetrating oil the day before or they will strip
