I plan on selling my XJ6 for a 96 or 97 XJR6 this spring. But I just have one question hopefully someone knows. What the heck is going on with the color/trim packages? EVERY white XJR from 1995-1997 I've looked at so far has a chrome grill, mirrors, and trunk piece (like on my 93 XJ6). I havent seen the chrome like that on any other X300. Was that a special package that could be added to just the white models? I know you can buy after market chrome pieces like that to make them look like the previous body styles but what are the chances everyone I've seen was white!

Well anywho I love the white XJR because it brings out the detail of the red and orange parking lights, etc and def highlights the alloy wheels. I plan on either finding a white one or that majestic red color it came in. I just def don't dig the chrome grill on the XJR...it just doesnt look right! I would have to replace that with a matching white piece immeditely!!

 

I agree that blacked out look on the front grill does look nice too. The whole grill being chrome on the 95-97 XJ6 just doesnt quite do it like the previous bodystyle!
