Trying not spend what my local vintage Jaguar shop charged me for new brake pads/rotors for my 98 XJ8 VDP. Any recs for reputable brands that sell the parts together as kits? Thanks!

 

He probably charged for oem stuff, going with aftermarket you should be well under third of that price for all fours
Some good stuff from Rockauto is brembo pagid raybestos maybe centric they stock both pads and rotors so you can have a set, people love akebono pads if you decide to mix brands

 

My indy shop always gets me Akebono ceramic pads and zinc coated Texton rotors. They were an OEM supplier. I would wager you can find them somewhere. In 8/2020 I had front brakes done and the cost to me via the garage which did the work was $104.25 for the pads and $173.32 for the two rotors. Total (5-plus years back was another $180 labor plus a $70 brake flush as the car was new to me at that point. They got the parts from WorldPac. Personally, I've always been very happy with these parts. I suspect you'll have no trouble finding something you like.
