my cousin asked me if i would use my car 4 his wedding i said yes no problem so i washed and polish the car in and out i was on all day i put the car in the midel of the driveway so could get at it better it was late when finished .my wife was due in so i moved the car to one side and turned it off. the next day it would not start so i called the aa they said i had flooded it turned off to fast they got it stated different sound as good as be-four so they put on lorry and off
i took mt xj8 to jaguar came back clean bill of health but they said i need new tyres as my wear worn so i said yes will you put on the car what is all ready on witch wear pirelli they said yes but when i got their they had put Yokohama on not suer if that is right name i have found the car quieter so i think the are o k they are the same price as the pirellis thats what it seems when i got the bill .they took it 4 test drive after that , it was was ok but then they phoned and said timing chains had fail so had to be done so i said that you give it clean bill off health and computer diagnostic said it was ok yes they said but chains need replacing as they snapped on test drive so thats what it cost me seem to have start when i tuning off the car fast my wife took them to wedding in her merc

 

Thats Bad news! I'm sorry to hear that I always give my vehicles a few moments of running when I start them for any reason, for exactly the reason you outlined.
