Ruby still going strong (she has name now) But I have noticed the cooling fans running allot, more than I would say is normal, which makes me think engine is running hot. needle never moves past the middle mark on temp gauge but gets there quickly, within 5 mins at tickover from cold start. fans cut in and out but are going more than not. Rad flushed and appeared clean. Thermostat housing metal, I think this was a modification? Im just thinking AC rad in front of water rad looks in bad shape, mostly blocked. This won’t help so perhaps try removing that first ? AC not working any way so no loss trying. Any one else had overheated caused by blocked AC rad ?

The temp gauge does not respond to an increase in engine temp beyond 185F until about 230F. You need to read temp through the OBD II.

+1 start with OBD to read ECT to see what the car knows and how it varies.
