Default '00 Vanden Plas - Rear Brakes - Grinding

While replacing my rear shocks and shock tower bushings, I went ahead and put in new brake pads and got the rotors turned so that basically everything would be done on the rear end.

However, since that time, I get alot of grinding from the rear brakes at low speeds and can hear it with the windows down. Seems about equal on each side. In my life, I have done more than my fair share of brake jobs but this is the first time I have seen this behavior.

Do you all think the need pads just need to "seat" in a bit or should I start pulling everything a part and inspect?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Shouldn't be any grinding from bedding in new pads/skimmed rotors, definitely need to check correct assembly.

Also the parking brake is part of the rear rotor, I'm wondering if something could be a miss there?

Are you talking the bigger clip no the back of the pad that goes into the piston of the caliper?

To all - all fixed now, not really sure of the issue but I had the rotors replaced vs. prior they were turned down and that solved the issue. Not sure why the turned rotors were grinding but it is now fixed.

I would hazard a guess, that when reassembled with the new rotors, they were installed correctly . . . see #2
