Does anyone know where I can buy the bushing that goes inside the shock tower. You know the Jag part that crumbles reddish in color.
I'd like to get in urethene or poly.

Price is now $65.95 at Welsh! Anyone know of less expensive versions for 4 small rubber circles!?!

 

Short of machining them yourself, the Welsh parts are still the cheapest urethane pieces out there. And they're not really that far off target for a low volume application. I installed them on my own XJR and have been very pleased. If you have access to a mill or lathe though, they wouldn't be hard at all to machine if you bought some stock from Energy Suspension or Prothane.

 

I just bought a 2003 XJ8 with 123K and the previous owner didn't know what all the red powder was around the shock towers. I thought it was some weird sawdust at first. Now up to speed. Thinking of replacing the shocks as well, but as far as I can tell, neither KYB or Bilsteins come with the bushings.
There's someone on ebay selling the bushings for about $45 now. Still seems like a lot of money for some polyurethene donuts.
I came across this site in a search that sells what they call universal bushings at a much more attractive price.
My question is anyone familiar? Will these do the job?
