Hello folks. This morning, on my 30 minute commute to work, I was listening to the radio and it went silent for a bit on FM & AM, but the CD worked fine. The radio station has a history of going dead on occasion from time-to-time. Only lasted about a minute, but when it came back on, it showed BE_DTC_2 on the screen about the station ID. It was not on there before and I cannot find any data on it through a Google web search. I've attached a pic for reference. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

 

The only thing I can think of is that the head unit might be set to a different country/market OR that it might have AF (alternate frequency) enabled.

The U.S. does NOT use AF so you need to ensure that is turned OFF.

Thanks for the reply. I made no changes to the system during that time. IT just popped up and then, when I went to lunch and then back home, it wasn't there. It is the first and last time I have seen this on the display. Thanks for the information and I'll look into that aspect and report anything that I find if it's significant.

 

pretty sure that is being broadcast by the radio station...they probably did an upgrade
