At 12-6 I will have a chirp at front wheels
On my front wheels, I had play at both 12-6 and 3-9, and a groan when I pressed down on the front fenders above the fires. Pass side was the loudest but both side had similar symptoms.
Both were original bearings. Shocks more than 10 years old.
Now, after replacing wheel bearings, ABS sensors, shocks, bushings, and part of the control arm where the rubber had cracked, I still have 12-6 play at both wheels but I only hear a speed-variable chirp on the pass side. When I racked it up i could hear the chirp when I rocked the pass side tire at 12-6. No sound on driver side. but slight 12-6 play.
No play at 3-9 on either tire. No chirp on driver side tire.
First several hundred miles, there was no such sound. Now it is constant on pass side.
Thoughts? Lube needed somewhere? Just roll up the windows?
I know there are volumes of wheel bearing posts, but I couldn't find one about a 12-6 chirp. Sorry if I missed it!

I have a similar sound on my 01 XJR but haven't dug in yet...I get a squak/chirp when the front suspension works at low speeds. I also have some play in the right side but not the left, though I think I have squeaking on both sides. I definitely have worn lower shock bushings on both sides and a new set of shocks are in my future, apart from that I have a tie rod end on the right side thats starting to be movable by hand and I'm not yet sure if I have a wheel bearing on the right thats wearing out.
Have you inspected your ball joints?
