First, I don't think you'll get too many "likes" on that video CK..
What I noticed the most was they were pre-Ford period, so I suspect many succumb to electrical issues they were famous for. I also noticed that even though they may have succumb to those electrical issues, the rust was minimal to nil', just poorly cared for.
I don't know how some could be called abandoned...they had obviously been in accidents beyond repair and one at the end appeared to have just been reborn out of an old garage with the hope of refurbishment.
The one of the XJ220 is one I've seen before. That's in Saudi Arabia and they supposedly just abandon cars like that there when they're done ragging them out.
The one next to the Hudson is one I had to think on, ...Jag...Hudson...Jag...Hudson...I may have to go Hudson on that one?
Lots of XJS's and 60-70's models....its not as bad as the ones that have been...ahem...hood modified.
Overall, I didn't get a queezie stomach or roll my eyes into the back of my head...it was worth the look.

WHERE? I collect and make driveable ANY series Jaguar saloon car. My daughter does the same. I turn them into daily drivers by getting rid of the Lucas unreliable parts with a upgraded ISO parts that you can buy at the local electronic parts store. Th weak 65A Bosch alternator is replaced with a GMALT package that gets rid of the dead battery syndrome. Get rid of the Lucas coil and use an Accel coil to eliminate the high speed breakdown problem. I know more about making both in-line 6 and V12 cars daily drivers. I HATE to see Series Jaguar saloon cars waste away and would tell owners what to do FREE, rather than see them sit! These cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed!
Interesting Lucas parts if I am correct wernt as good as bosh coils, distributers and electronic replacement for the old points.
bosh alternator havent seen problems with lucas?
Upgrade ISO ? whats that all about
GMALT never heard of it ?
Lucas coil vs Accel why not bosch?
any answers are appreciated

This is a picture of a tragic accident that I witnessed 34 years ago. I was actually on an unrelated photo-shoot and had a grandstand view of the shiny "new' Jag as it sped down the road near where I was located. My attention concentrated on the Jag as I admired its lines as it sped down the long, straight wide road at considerable speed and I was quite surprised to see the car begin to fishtail as the driver lost control. Unfortunately the car left the road and hit a huge telephone pole, snapping the pole and pushing it several feet from its "unmovable" base. The car was obviously catastrophically destroyed. Such a tragic loss of such a beautiful vehicle and such a tragic human loss as the driver did not survive. This was in 1985 or 1986 and I believe the car was a Series III Xj6 (or V12?)
(If this picture is inappropriate or offensive in any way please let me know and I will delete)
