I have been wanting an XJR for years now. I like distinctive looking cars and this one takes the cake for me. I have spent the past few years slowly re-furbing an old 97 LR Discovery, so I am used to the British quirks. My buddy has a 95 black on black for $5K. The price seems ok, but I haven't gotten a good history on the car yet.

I have read about the liners. Can a newer 4.4 block be used with the 4.0 setup if I need to swap motors? I have tried to read up as much as I can, but I have found forums like this will usually steer a person in the right direction.

What should I look for?
