1999 jaguar XJ8 back to life
Hello jag enthusiasts,
I recently bought a 1999 xj8 which is being sitting in garage for almost 3 years. It has a low coolant warning but the coolant is max in the reservoir.
secondly, its giving amber light for restricted performance and taking it into limp mode.
the seller parked it with full gas tank and i just finished the tank by driving 300km.
now i see the leaks all over scattering under the hood. I dont know what’s leaking. What should i do to take its proper care. All inputs are welcomed.
thanks for reading this

You haven't said where you are located on the globe. If you give us a location or country, better advice can be given. Also are you able to work on cars yourself ? There are jaguar specialists in many countries, that are not jaguar main agents, but tend to be better at sorting out the older cars. Unfortunately Jaguar agents lose interest in cars once they are a few years old and no longer current models.
It might also be better if you posted again in the Jaguar X308 forum, the correct one for your car.

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X308 forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.
1. I think you are in British Columbia - correct?
2. identify whether the leak is coolant (probably orange) or engine oil (golden when new but likely to be black)

A quick search of the internet found these guys. Not solely Jaguar needless to say because there just aren't enough old Jaguars around to make a living from. However, they will probably have some experience of the last of the steel-bodied Jaguar saloons. The engine and drive train also went into the XK sports car made from 1996 to 2006
