Default 1999 Jaguar XJR Rear Rattling Noise

Every time I drive sometimes I hear this weird rattling noise it seems to be coming from the back of my car near the trunk. It's not really loud but definitely noticeable when the radio isn't on too loud. The car has 81k miles, it handles very well and I got the beauty for only $5,500! Any help would be absolutely appreciated since I wanna solve any problems before they get too expensive! Thanks to anyone who helps in my dilemma.

Default Rear damper bushes

I had a similar problem with mine at it drove me nuts. I took it to my Jag Guv'ner and he knew what it was without driving it. The upper and lower damper bushes wear out quickly and it a laborious task in removing and replacing (springs have to be compressed etc.)
Well worht getting it done though.

Cheers

Grant

Default About 600 AUD supply and fit

Needs to be done. You will have pooor handling, uneven tyre wear and bump steer because the suspension movement is poorly controlled

The tires look amazing on the car, there is light wear but nothing that would point out a major suspension problem. I think it may be loose bolt on the strut somewhere.

So the struts on the rear were worn down (apparently they last about 60k miles because of the car weight) , I purchased the rear set (lifetime warranty) on eBay for about $150, had the local mechanic install them for $100. Quick and cheap fix.
