Hi there I am new to the site, I have done alot of reading here before joining and now I have a question, I just replaced my timing chains and tensioners on this xj8, I have everything put back together except for the harmonic balancer since it requires an internal oring, Where can I find one of these orings is what I need to know, I could go to a dealer or order one online possibly but I would like to know if a generic metric sized oring would work.

what oring are you talking about? The front crank seal? The metal expanding locking ring in the center of the crank pulley?

 

I have never found a generic replacement for the thin damper 'O'ring. I just get them from the Jaguar Dealer (XR81139)
