That's a tough one to answer. Too bad it's not a VanDen Plas or a 2002 or 2003. Do you know if it has had any engine work done on it - tensioners, for instance? If not, probably also has a nikasil engine.

If you can find a buyer who doesn't know anything about Jaguars, you could probably get quite a bit!

Use Edmunds -- normally most accurate.

These are the best cars to buy

I have noticed that, at least on eBay, older Jaguars priced per guidebooks don't seem to sell.

The dodge with such a low mileage car of that age is the engine. I know it sounds silly but it is an older car that could have one of the time bomb engines, both nickasil and timing issues. Before you buy this car I'd have that engine checked out because once you start using it daily the bomb will tick faster.

Do find out if it's had the following done: secondary tensioner replacement*, water pump & thermostat replacement. If it has had those done, make it very clear in your ad listing. Second, I'd consider having the dealer perform a compression test and list the results in your ad as well.
If you do both of those and list in on craig's list and ebay it'll command a premium by somebody familiar with these cars.

*If you're at all mechanically inclined and the secondary tensioners have not been replaced consider replacing them yourself as the resulting sales price increase will be far greater than if you sell it as-is.
