I recently took my cylinder head to a machine shop to mill the head... They said it was warped and they noticed that a valve seat came off.

They could not find anyone with the equipment to fix the valve seat, so I took it to someone that I found and he instantly said it was milled too far down.

I'm not sure how he was so certain, but does anyone know the specs for this cylinder head? The machine shop claims they milled it to spec...

Anyone have comments/suggestions what they would do here?

1) Since the head was warped, should i really pay to have the valve stems replaced? and at what cost? I've heard $10 a valve (16/head) and $300

2) if the head is not milled to spec... how effed am I if i put it back together??

Currently I'm just having the shop put the valve seat and valve back into the head for $40 total...

 

hmm, how much was taken off (to spec'!) 5 thou, 10 thou? just bang two head gaskets in.
