Both broken ...a little 98 xjr $500 and 2000 xj8l $1000

 

Dang! What’s the story on both of them?

 

The red one 85k miles driver seat air bag deployed ?unknown reason no one was in it.the xjr 140k miles sun roof leaked carpet headliner gone exhaust straight piped? Both run and drive

 

For the XJR, I’d start by getting a 2 foot long blow gun to hook up to your air compressor. Open the sunroof and blow out the 2 front drains. The back ones will be trickier but, you need to find out if all 4 drains are clear and draining properly. Getting a small flexible plastic cup of hot water should be sufficient to pour into the front drains as a start of diagnosing what’s going on.

The other one you need to get a scanner to communicate with the airbag system.

 

I am thinking xjr is parts?lot of other problems..,,,.,,.,the red one I re set codes p0171 P0174 and added new fuel runs well only light is airbAg in dash. Fuse blown because deployed?so windows seat movement and other elect don’t work .. I have extra parts cars as they were 11 of them here now. So I thought I would start with installing a used front seat if the airbag deploys again I’ve got a different problem if not then I’ll put my closest best looking one in its place

 

Does the XJR run? I know someone who’s needing a 98’ XJR ECM.
