Default 2 sizes for the front sway bar links

I just replaced my front sway bar links (2nd time) and found the first set that I had installed are about 1" shorter than the new links. I dug out the ones that were on the car when I got it and they are also the longer ones. The brand new links are URO Parts #MNC2105AA.

Are the new longer links the correct ones?

The part number is correct for your '01. No idea if it is actually the correct part.

With the car up on jacks stands and the shorter links installed the ends ofthe anti-sway bar are parallel to the chassis and with the longer ones the baris angled upwards about 20 degrees

parallel would make more sense from a geometry standpoint ... guess you need to find out for sure whether the longer ones are just whatever uropart figured would fit.

"one inch longer" isn't going to allow anyone to help you. "the short one is X inches long from this point to that point" would let someone measure theirs and get back to you.

good suggestion Plums - thank you.
The longer one is 6-3/4" tip to tip and the shorter one is 5 - 11/16" tip to tip

Is it possible that someone installed a used spindle from an early XJ8? The early cars had smaller front wheel bearings & when they failed we installed a hub kit which had the later larger bearings & a different sway bar link. Just a thought.

JgaXkr - thank you for the suggestion. I believe the spindles are original. I changed the driver's side wheel bearing a while back and it has the larger bearing

Seems to me that the shorter links would provide better tension on the sway bar thus better "stiffer" controll to sway....

I wonder if the shorter ones are for an XJR?

No. Only one number listed for all models on the front. But, 3 numbers depending on VIN.

Hopefully someone comes along who happens to have their car up in the air.

I took a picture with the car parked in the garage. The anti-sway bar is 13 -3/8" off the floor measured where the link bolts into the bar. I have 17" wheels on my car

Could someone measure their anti-sway bar link so I can tell if I have installed the correct parts?

Thanks in advance
