Moved car from curb to driveway. Running time 30sec., replaced spark plugs, put oil in cylinders, pressed inertia switch, moved transmission lever up and down, cranked engine pedal to the floor for 10 sec., half way for 10 sec. Dosen’t sound like its getting fuel or spark. 103,000 miles on Nikasil engine. 93 octaine gas. I’ll try the 20 sec. test, but it kills me to let the starter run that long.

Welcome to the forums Jerry, please take the time to introduce yourself in the New Members section... https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...-intro-must-5/
Now for your issue, can you be a little more descriptive? First, is it a Base model 4.0L or SC? Did it flat out stall, did it seem like it ran out of fuel, have you checked fuel pressure, do you have any codes?
It can be anything from a Crank Positioning sensor to a bad fuel pump, but we need a bit more info to be able to assist.

PROBLEM SOLVED: Water in the gas tank. Make sure you clean out the rubber plug that’s in the drain of the gas cap compartment. Heavy rain will flood the compartment and cause water to enter the tank under the gas cap. Repair: $750,00 U.S.
