2000 Jaguar XJ8 power seat
In my x308 the driver chair won’t tilt forward and it is tilted all the way back. Everything else works fine even tilting backwards, just not forwards. Is there any way I can force or forward or what would be the fix?
Possibilities:
Check fuses. If I had more time, I’d look at the wiring diagram and show you where the fuse(s) is located. I believe the fuse for the seats are in the heal (under the rear seat) board fusebox.
Broken wires behind the seat switch pack.
Seat module. You could remove the seat module from the passenger side and find a way to unplug the drivers side module and temporarily plug in the hood module just to see if the seat moves for you.

Personally, from your description of the problem, it sounds as if the motors
are working and either the switches themselves or the connectors to the switches
are corroded and not giving good contact.
