2000 VDP SC won't start
Ok, I just had my left rear seal fixed on the differential, had been driving it around as I also had just done the front tower bushings and all was quiet and smooth. Then.....chug, chug, sputters to a stop? I tried to restart it, it sputtered a bit, then died again.
I get it towed home and into the garage to let it sit a bit while I grabbed a beer (ok, 2 beers geez). I go back out about an hour later to try it again. It rolls beautifully, but now it doesn't sputter or even try to fire. My fuel gauge says its 1/2 full (being positive), I even tapped on the tank to be sure and it seems correct.
I have read about the throttle body going south, though cleanups had been know to resurrect them. But I also have read of the dreaded fuel pumps deciding they've lived long enough.
I tried pulling any codes (though no lights came on until the engine cut off), nothing abnormal, just the P1111.
The seemingly odd thing is I popped the fuel cap off and it seemed to have an abnormal amount of pressure?
I'm reviewing JagRepair.com to see if I can find any definite direction to attack this from. At the same time I would appreciate anyone who can assist me. I have to go out of town and won't have time to go after this until Wed.

Alright, after having some time to think about it, I'm pretty sure its one of he fuel pumps, probably #1. Reason being, was rolling along fine, it sputtered to a slow down and stall. Tried to start it, it sputtered some more (thus any fuel left in the line being burned) and stalled again. I get it towed back and in my garage, wait about an hour, try it again....nothing but roll over. So now I've ordered the pumps and will partake in their replacement.
Here's a youtube clip on testing and removing the pumps if any of you are interested. The guy doesn't do a bad job, except for cutting it short at the end.
