2000 VPD I have an intermitent problem that seems to be getting worse, I turn the igntion off car shuts down, but the dash warning lights stay on along with multiple messages on the dash screen, I suspect the ecm is remaining active. Where to Start?

 

I would start with a potentially faulty ignition switch. When that situation happens, if you re-insert the key can you turn it on-off again to turn them off?

The second piece is possibly a door switch, perhaps it has not sensing the door being opened? Do your interior lights turn on/off properly?
