Default 2000 XJ8 - No spare in trunk, what should it be?

So my XJ8 did not have a spare tire in the trunk when I bought it. The foam and tool kit is there but no wheel/tire to be found.

Is this a temp spare, fullsize spare or what should I be looking for? I don't like missing items, especially a spare tire.

Thanks

Hi Ken,
My 2000 XJ8 had the space saver spare wheel in the boot(trunk).
Unfortunately, I would not know if the American market had full size spares as standard or the space saver. Perhaps model dependant.

I was also searching in my X type and found the spare (space saver) under the foam

it should be a full sized spare in thee that matched the rest of the OEM rims.

This is a part you can buy off ebay without much worry of it konking out on ya for cheap.

Take a look at this one on Ebay - $40 plus $25 shipping - includes center cap:
2000 Jaguar XJ8 Wheel 16x7 | eBay

I was able to buy 4 of these rims locally (about 15 miles away) for our 2001 XJ8 in March 2011 $191 including sales tax.
Mounted new michelin X-Ice II tires on them for winter driving.
