2000 XJR OBD II Reader Advice
Hey Fam,
So I've gone through a few posts on the OBD readers but I haven't had luck finding the proper one for my Jag. The one i was recommended on J Forums has negative reviews on amazon. I looked on Amazon for a second opinion and I'm getting mixed signals. Sad thing is I drove to my local Auto Zone store and asked to use their OBD reader and it worked like a charm. I've purchased 2 Euro readers on amazon and none of them work. Does any one have any suggestions ?
These are the readers Amazon recommends:
iCarsoft LR V1.0 ($109.00)
iCarsoft i930 ($99.00)
NT510 ($180.00)

I use an Actron 9575. Easy to set up for the 2001 Jag, but worked out of the box on my wife's Maxima and on the 2-13 Range Rover Sport. Bought an Actron for my son: his is bigger and does more stuff than the 9575 (body and transmission codes). Pretty cheap and easy. But guys using the ELM with Android phones (me, iPhone) seem to have excellent results with more data.
+1 KC, I use the Torque Pro with my Elm. As you can see Christopher, from the responses, there are a few options available.

Thank you ! I think ill buy 2 different units and try both at the same time. As of now i have no lights on but I'm curious to know why a yellow light goes off when i hit hard bumps at an average speed of 25-30. Ill make a log on the reader and reliability here.
Yes, you are right, some readings do not work on the 2001 model, but I think it is limited to a flaw in the Torque App, not sure.
