I am looking for a diff for the above car.


I can find the Part Number :- JLM 20769 that refers to the 3.06:1, 4.0 Litre Diff.


The problem comes when I see sellers on sites advertising diffs that have numbers C14HU-004-003 and N14HU-010-002. They say that they will both fit my car.


What I need to know is which of these number has the 3.06:1 ratio that is used in the 4.0 Litre?

Except for certain small markets, notably Mexico, the diff on all AJ27 x308 xj8 including xjr are the same. That would be UK reg years 2000-2002. So ask the seller the exact vehicle that the diff came from.

Of course, I am not guaranteeing that information.

 

Here in the UK, the 3.2 litre has a ratio of 3.27:1, and the 4.0 litre has a ratio of 3.06:1. I want to know which of the numbers in relief of the diff casing refers to which ratio. Can anyone help at all??? Bill W.

 

replaced a XJR diff yesterday.
C14HU-004-003 is a 3.06 diff fo 4.0 models.
got this on both old and new diff.
