Hello to all , first i want to say i love jaguar cars.
My xj8 is 2001 and a few months ago i was comuting from bay area to portland car has 117000 miles i stopped one day to visit a friend i went to fuel up and returned to pick up my girl and when we went to contiue trip a no crank situation happened . I had put a new battery in two weeks before . All dash lights and equipment work just no crank.
I pulled the starter it is good so i took key to locksmith and key shows no chip , Called dealer they said tow car to him to have key made.so anyone know what im going to be in for at the dealer like how Much or problems that you experienced geting a replacment key .2001 cars are different before years and after . Thanks

 

He will need both keys to reprogram. ~$100 or so.

 

Hello all than for imput . When i bought my car three years ago ,it came with one key only i still have it but its not cranking ov r r the enigne
