Hi guys.
Im new to jags so please excuse me.
When i bought the car the remote didnt open or lock the doors/boot.No battery in it.Open and locks and starts by the key.

New battery in fob and did the sequence.No joy.
Checked connections in the boot on the security and locking unit.No joy.
Keeps blowing a fuse for the electric mirrors/interior lamps under the rear seat.
The boot open button in the car itself dosnt open, just flashes valet mode on the dash

Do you think its the control unit in the boot?

Do you have all the correct keys? Your reference to 'valet' caused that question.

You need to resolve the fuse situation since what you mention is involved with the body processor module as are the door locks. The security module should be last on your list unless you have water sloshing around in the trunk (boot).

There is a free download of JTIS here on the forum if you want to start using an electrical schematic to resolve the fuse issue. I would guess that fixing the fuse problem is probably going to fix the remote problem.

I bought the car with only 1 set of keys (valet key and door/ignition key).and a 1 fob.
I will have a look at the download and see if i can make sense of it.
