i purchased an '01 xjr about a month ago had one owner and 83,000 miles. Runs great, havnt had any problems. however lately when ive gone to start it in the mornings it'll crank especially long and this morning there was a clicking noise before start up. Battery is fairly new. Car still ran great though. Not sure if this is something i should be worrried about or just let it go?

I have the same problem w/ my 98 xjr (no click though) - sometimes it won't even fire in the morning - OK the rest of the day. Hopefully you have more success w/ your troubleshoot than I have. I replaced 1/2 dozen parts that could logically explain the problem ... to no avail.
One thing you can do that is cheap, easy, and may help is to replace the coolant temp sensor. You may want to get fuel pressure checked also. You can try priming it before you start it to help determine if it's fuel related (turn key all the way on w/o cranking for 5-10 seconds, turn it off, repeat a few times). If that helps it fire in the morning, you may be losing too much fuel pressure after sitting for a while.
