Hello all,
I was looking to replace the muffler on my 2001 XJR with a dynomax glasspack or something of the sort...I just have one question about removing the stock muffler. How am I supposed to remove it when the pipes seem to be hooked around the rear axle?

The rear ones aren't mufflers, but resonators, meaning they are straight through units. Just replace them with straight pipes, there's not much difference in the sound.

 

Oh so the middle one is the muffler? Could I just buy piping and connect it to the glasspack if the glasspack isn't long enough?

Why would you want a glasspack? IMO they sound hillbilly'ish pickup, 70's sound . I would replace it with a quality muffler, that would still increase the aural gratification and still keep it classy.
