Hi Guys

New hear so hope you do not mind what may be a silly question, i did have a search already but getting mixed messages.

I am reupholstering the Headlining in a friends car, it is a 2002 XJ Sport (V8).
It has Black leather interior and what i would say is a light grey headlining.
I have spoken to JagHeadlinings and they say that they only did two colors that year, Nimbus Grey-NED and Golden Oatmeal-AGD.
They also said that with Black leather it would have been Nimbus Grey, but also that Nimbus grey is not that light which worries me.....

is there anything on VIN sticker etc that i can check to confirm. I was hoping not to have to recover the sun visors and center panel as they are immaculate

I should mention that car has covered less that 36k and is immaculate

Both of my 02's have black leather interior w/ gray headliners. It's a fairly dark gray .. it's not a charcoal gray ... two different colors in the textile world.

 

Thanks Yeldogt, so would it be a fairly safe bet to order the Nimbus Grey?
Not sure if anyone on here has used it already, seems to be the only grey colour listed with suppliers i can find.

 

One would think a company called jagheadlinings would know?

I'm in the USA. I'm not really sure if you can even get headliners from Jaguar ..... both dealers local to me send them out ...

Used ultrasuade on mine -- My sun visors had no issues and looked fine with the new liner. I did not want to mess with them.

 

Yea i think i am just over thinking it!

Ordered the Nimbus and will see how it looks.
