Rear ended heavily any one need a car
Was recently rearended in a 3 car incident prettyy hard but air bags did not go off. Merc started it and crushed a prius between us.
Bumper was fully compressed, trunk slightly dented but worse was the whole rear has been bent down such that both rear quarter panels have a slight depression in them and they got pushed into rear door such that the gap is 1mm
Had just recently rebuilt heads, chains, coolant pipes, new tires, headliner, all running great, all for naught as inftial estimate is 6k USD.
my question is should i part it out our let it go to the scrap dealer. 170k miles
Could probably buy it back for $500 but then be stuck with parts or selling again.
What is market for scrap?

Dsetter,
Sorry about your accident. Hope you are no one else was hurt.
I could possibly use your car to help me restore one of my projects.
Is it still driveable?
What is the year, model, paint, and trim colors.
I'm working in the East Bay now. I could come down one evening or this weekend to look at it.
Send me a PM to go over details.

With the going rates on little things, you could easily make that and then some. Especially newer engine components you have. The downfall is taking the time to pull things apart, ship, and then getting the scrap taken care of after the fact. If you have space/time, you'll find a bit to be had I'm sure.
I'd kill for a throttle body myself if it saved me downtime having to get mine sent and rebuilt.
