Default 2003 XJ Sport

i was on my way home from work and i made a left turn and received a gear box fault. i was approximate a mile from home and i parked the car in my driveway. i believe i made it home in limb mode. Well because io did not want to face it i drove another car for a week, after a week i tried to move the car. i do not have any drive gears although i do have reverse. I tried a day later and the car would not start. this vehicle has a"sealed transmission" I hate to see this black cat down. i have 117k miles, does anyone have any suggestions on trouble shooting or resolving this issue?

Transmission can be this way -- one second fine t....he next .......nothing.

Unless you see evidence of a massive leak most likely something internal failed.

The ZF has a known drum problem that can be fixed without doing the whole transmission. Do a little research on the ZF transmission and find a local shop that can work on it and does not just remove it and send it to someone else.

You don't want to attempt to drive it -- if it is the drum you run the risk of doing much more damage.
