98 Jaguar xj8- Electrical Fault
Well, After some time of clearing up all the issues I've had with the car sitting for so long and clearing/fixing the bore wash problem, Plus the simple things, New pump, Fuel Filters etc; We got another issue.
After getting ready to tag it and finally drive, The issue of the car not revving up is happening, Still! Here's the run down.
1. Rev it up, It will rev around 1500-2k and drop to 800-1k and bounce up and down if you hold the pedal and seems to backfire/stutter.
2. You can drive it, No issues, But if you try to gain speed beyond say 30 it will stutter and do the same as I mentioned in #1 but not always.
3. Now, As of today, It finally shows some errors since doing this. It showed (While revving up and dying down like i said in #1) "Electrical Fault" then went away quickly and revved normal to 3k.
Is this error a sensor of some sort? Battery is new and up to spec and all. Alternator is perfect, What else? It has a new module and all sorts, matching too.
Keep in mind these were problems before I replaced what I mentioned too, Just without the electrical error showing up.
To me it seems like a throttle body issue?

It does sound like a throttle body issue. There are probably codes stored and you need to read them. You can have the codes read by a local parts store, then report the actual codes here, not the generic interpretation.
You are going to need a code reader/scanner of your own. There are apps available for cell phones and stand alone devices. here is a link to some that forum members have used:
