98 xjr transmission fluid
My question is: would it be worth changing the fluid?
I bought a 1998 XJR a couple days ago and I have been considering changing the transmission fluid. It is my first automatic car. The previous owner claims it has been changed some 3 years ago. I have read that the transmisson in the XJR is pretty strong too. The car runs perfectly fine, no issues. Would it worth it? And if yes, what type of fluid is the most suited for the XJR?

Just use Mercedes 722.6 fluid recommendations.

I would probably change it. Drop the pan off and replace the filter while you’re at it. You won’t get all the fluid out unless your torque converter is one that had a drain plug on it, so you might have to change the fluid 3-4 times and eventually you’ll be left with mostly new fluid in it.
