Default AC high side port - where is it on a 2001 X308 VDP?

Ok, I can see the port just by the receiver dryer but where's the other one?

TIA

Larry

Ok I see the charge port from the diagram on jagheritage ...must be near the firewall under that plastic cover. I'll top up the system in a couple of days. Going to use R152A (computer duster) as usual ...icy cold here we come!

Just my own experience, but have you fixed the leak that caused the old refrigerant to leak out in the first place? I see people repeatedly topping off their AC systems but never actually correcting the problem. If you're low on refrigerant, you have to find out why it leaked out and fix it, otherwise its just going to leak out again.

The AC is working but not as cold as it could be, so IMO just slightly low on refrigerant. I gather this is the original charge which seems like pretty normal occurrence in a car of this vintage running R134A.
If the pressure/refrigerant was low enough to prevent the compressor from activating, (No AC) that would be a different matter and I'd look for a leak - but in situations like this, I simply top up using manifold gauges/pressure charts and thermometers to determine how much refrigerant to add. I usually add refrigerant in short bursts, waiting a minute or two after adding to see the effect before adding more.
I use R152A in my cars as it's fully compatible with R134A systems and a far better refrigerant.

Before topping off the AC, I ran the Climate Control analytics which returned two codes: 14 and 42

14 - Engine Coolant Temperature Input / Instrument pack output.
42 - RH Fresh / Recirc. Motor issue

Not sure exactly what code 14 is - anyone able to clarify what "Engine Coolant Temperature Input / Instrument pack output." actually means and what I can do to fix it?

TIA
Larry

The high side port is on the receiver drier. The low side port is next to the firewall underneath the large center plastic cover more so on the passenger side.

LHD or RHD?

British car 'driver's/passenger's' is not conclusive.
I avoid descriptions like that because it can get very confusing.
Just sayin'.

Fair point Bob, I’ll go with LHD.

Topped up with maybe 3 or 4 two-second bursts of R152A, maybe 5 - 6 ozs. got the pressures up to range.

In the shop, that got temps at the vent down to about 8°c (~46°f), once I got out for a test drive managed 2°- 3°, (35°- 37°f) so plenty chilly.

All good!
