Adaptive damping manual control
After experiencing regular intermittent adaptive suspension problems in my 98 Daimler SV8, I am wondering if it is possible to bypass the ADCM and control damping manually? I want to enjoy comfort damping most of the time, but still retain the firm damping function for occasional spirited driving.
Does anyone know if comfort damping can be achieved by unplugging the ADCM harness connector permanently and supplying:
5ve (from an independent power supply) via the ADCM harness connector sockets for pins 13, 14, 15 and 30 and
grounding connector sockets for pins 31, 32, 33 & 34?
If so, would switching the +5ve power supply on/off (via an in-car toggle switch) control damping between soft and firm as required?
Am I correct in assuming that removal of engine compartment fuse 1 permanently suppresses the suspension failure warning message?
