Default Added Bi-Xenon’s to my 00 XJR

Sharing a few pictures of a bi-xenon set up that I just added to my 00 XJR. The original headlight assembly had to be modified to fit the projectors and shrouds. The ballasts are mounted neatly in the engine bay area. It has been raining here so not been able to take complete pictures of my vehicle, but will do so soon as I have just had it roughly for a month now. The set up also works perfect with the auto setting on the light.

You did not mention whose kit you used. A few others, myself included, also did this. Several of us, myself included, found that the low beam ballasts did not last long and now just use them for the high beams.

I shipped the headlight assembly to HID Illusionz in NY and two days later had it back from them. The link below has more details on what they used.

Nice set up. The kit I used was essentially bulbs and ballasts. Looks like you did it right.

What was the total cost?

Cheers.

Although I completely understand the need for such upgrade, I do think it takes the aesthetics from the car away.
Especially doing both low's and high's.
To each his own though!

I will take some pictures at night soon and post them as well. We have been getting some nasty rain here, so really haven't stepped out much at all. I understand a lot of the forum members here are purists so this not for everyone, but to me this is something I wanted, hence pulled the trigger.

Some additional detail on the set up:

1) This company warranties the set up for the life of the car. They used Morimoto ballasts, paired with Iris shrouds. The bulbs are 4.3K so the stock OEM kelvin. I will take some pictures of the engine bay to show the relay/ballast as well.

2) A single projector was $400 installed. Another option was dual projectors with the low beam HID and the high beam halogen projector or the final being dual projector HID's with both configured for the low and the high beam. This is the option I went with and it was $800.

Next upgrade for me is the exhaust. Contemplating on taking the mufflers and resonators taken out and adding a long X pipe or going with a Borla/Dynomax VT muffler in the middle.
