I have a 2003 XJR with the factory Infinity (one 6 x 9 sub.) system. The subwoofer cone is torn, too much sun. Has anybody tried to use the factory amp. for the sub with an aftermarket un-powered sub and encloser?

I don't see any reason why you couldn't. If I'm reading the schematic correctly, you'll just need to splice into the amp. output connector to pick up the signal. Although, it appears that the sub is a dual coil unit. Looks like you'll need to spice wires (2 - red, 10 - blue, 11 - yellow & 3 - white). Where 2 and 11 are the (+) wires.
