Thought this was an interesting video. I would like some chrome valve covers. What do you think?

Pick some up second hand, so when your ready to swap. Perhaps using... Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market ...or go to a yard and thoroughly clean them off and try using the Duplicolor paint on them. I think they have a chrome finish one.

Yeah, might give that a try, but due to the high temperatures under the hood, I would be concerned with the paint coming off or deteriorating. Or should I not be?

They use it on wheels and I think I've seen them advertise it for cam covers. There's got to be a video for it on Youtube.
