Check the throttle body for build up around the throttle plate, clean it. Disconnect battery for a few minutes then let it idle till it
warms up.

Could also be a bad MAF sensor.

I had the same problem until finding out that my gearbox was at fault, just added some oil and problem was gone.

An air leak is worth checking for. Easy with OBD.

I agree that an air leak is a likely problem. You may also have a stretched throttle cable. Examine the throttle cable and with your finger try to lift it up. If it moves at all then the cable needs to be adjusted, it should be taut. You clip the zip tie that is holding the plastic block in place then remove it and rotate it to remove the slack. Then reinstall with a new zip tie.
You also need to get the fuel trims read at idle and at 2500 rpm while sitting in park and post the results. The fuel trims would identify an air leak.

As Takeo reported, low transmission fluid has been associated with stalling while slowing to stop or to make a turn.

Cheers,

Don

You're probably right, omgimali, but if the OP did find a solution he or she neglected to report it here.

Cheers,

Don

But w/o embarrassing Takeo, we need to read the dates on the posts -- 11 years old!
