Alarm goes off randomly

Alarm goes off randomly
Hi:
I have a 1998 Jaguar Xj8 L and lately the vehicle alarm goes off randomly. The car isnt being messed with that I can detect... The alarm just sounds.. most times when this happens the alarm will go off.. I'll reset it and about an hour later it will sound again... Does anyone know what could cause this problem.. the only thing I've done to the car is replace a fuse for the cigar lighter and replace the batteries in the key fob.. I'm really stumped.. please help!!!
